this isnt just becos we had a disagreement recently but i do wish you would shut up about davey hasselhof in everyone of your posts, it wasnt even you that put up the funny picture.
As for the movie...
I thought it was quite interesting that you shot the whole movie from pretty much the same OTS shot, but beyond that i didnt really see the piont. Maybe its to someone elses humour but it wasnt to mine. Am i right in thinking its sposed to be funny am i? its not some deep insight into the human mind by wanky film students?

I'm gonna break with tradition and say that it wasn't bad. It didn't quite make me laugh but it did at least raise a smile. A bit Monty Python maybe. I do like a good joke about the gays though.
And by the way, you're 'allowed' to cross the line on camera.

Crossing the line is when you shoot someone kicking a football, the ball is shown flying through the air left to right and then it cuts to the ball flying across the pitch right to left. The audience doesnt assume the director is filming from the other side of the action line, they wonder why the ball is now traveling backwards. It is becos you crossed the 180 degree arc infront of the action to film beyond that line (the other side of the ball) that the confusion has occured. Thus the 180 degree rule, "do not pass the line".

And Andyblaa, despite being fairly negative of the film i can see that it could be potentialy humerous for some people. Im just saying i didnt get it. And even if I did, you are right to say it belongs as a sketch on a show like Python. Viewed as a short film it lacks any story or depth which is why i asked if it is sposed to have some insight into humans.

Hi, other half of WindowSlaws here to tell you story bout the jolly frog. It's a collection of Nine films on the theme of intuition (the intuition being that the character in front knows he's being looked at.) The films are very varied on the subject and this is absolutely the most shallow and basic. But not unintentionally. I was trying to come up with new ideas for intuition and while at a set of traffic lights, I began to stare at the driver of the car next to me to see if his intuition served him well. It did, he felt me lookin at him and I drove on. So that's where the jolly frog came from. We decided not to make it any "deeper" than it is but go with the absolute pointless simplicity of it. We shot it 'dogme' style and it took 4 minutes to make (only cos it needed 4 takes.) Basically, it is a sketch yeah. The DVD contains two more versions that take three minutes till the guy in front turns round. They seem to go down pretty well, often the song gets people laughing! Plus, the third version of the film stars Hasselhoff as a handicapped riding a moped!

it doesn't even cross the line... jeez sorry.... that let me down... it was mildly entertaining, but in no way showed the intuition of someone staring at you
